Every once and a while a piece of $cene drama gets so amped up that I can’t ignore it. It feeds the nosey side of my personality like a Chechen rebel car chase. As many people in Winnipeg Facebook land know; the staff of the latest incarnation of the Albert restaurant set up shop, bought a bunch of vegan wine and fed under-privileged folks in the exchange area.

Sunshine & Lolli-poopz.

Unfortunately, they then had a blow-out with the management which resulted in a sudden loud, public firing and shaming of the entire staff. Generally, it sounds as though it went down in an unprofessional & ugly manner. If you’re a details person, set down your copy of 50 Shades of Grey, log into facebook & click here.

Our Eagle eyed net ninja Scotty2Hottie caught this reply from the man who did the yelling *&* the firing (?/!).

Pull out yer grammar pens and plan to make some correctionzz…..

People who support staff that lies cheats and steals ..can beat it…the Albert wants to be able to stay open and pay its bills ..not be robbed blind by staff who think their counsellors giving away free food…Sorry two years ago the owner had to shut the doors because there were so many loyal customers…..nope all this place is entertainment people….no agendas and politics ..either like it by supporting the bands and venue ..but not some wishy washy staff on probation stealing food on some robinhood crusade…

From the looks of things, we’ve got an old fashioned, GOOD VS EV!L battle shaping up with every mook & their mother lining up to chip in their 2 cents.

But a big question looms large.

You know, while I do prefer my buns grilled to perfection, if a Burger is prepared by a chef, essentially a trained master of food preparation (this is relative of course) and he suggests to me that I try it a certain way, I will defer and try it his way. It’s not a big deal and maybe he actually has a clue what he’s talking about.

One thing I think I know as well as a chef knows food – douchebags. Unfortunately, this story smacks of douchery. Why anyone in their right mind would can all of his staff on a busy lunch hour to make a point is beyond me. The patrons are there to eat. Feed them. Your ego and toddler temper tantrum can wait an hour or two.

The man is a thug and a bully. He needs an attitude adjustment.

Grilled of course…. Else the drippings, condiments, and tomatoes make the bun soggy.

The one who pays the bills is the one who makes the decisions on what goes on in their establishment ….end of story.

Got something to say?
