After admitting that he was dropped from Def Jam the other day, Trinidad James bounces back to try with a new track to try and get things back on track. Entitled ‘Doin’ Me’ the @iamRaak produced track gets all introspective.
The track opens with TJ rapping sans drums, as that has shown to be the way to prove prowess in the game. My first inclination to shut this off was around 0:57, which was then followed by Trinidad doing a little singing. I guess doin’ him involves following the soft – rappers as singers – climate that is permeating through modern rap. Maybe i’m just being an asshole.
Soundcloud User Antoine Stewart 1 was positive and advised TJ on the situation:
stay real, the industry fears people they can’t control. Don’t trip, God has a plan for u
Soooo don’t trip, give it a listen and let me know in the comments if you think this is going to help him with his struggling career. I tried to listen to the whole thing but after pausing it twice for breaks I gave up at 2:36.
