The title of this post was supposed to be “МРАЗЬ – Тайное общество” but our shi~ doesn’t support Russian. Sooo…..
Punk rock is an international language. While the words may change, the power chords and guitar noise are often interpreted with the same sweaty attitude. Case in point: МРАЗЬ.
According to Google Translate, their name means Scum (or Crud – depending on the way you type it in) and the album is called ‘Secret Society’.
To our ears, they’re groovy, loud, noise punk – almost like the Russian incarnation of the Bronx or a more technical, less screamy Dead Precedence. However you want to slice it, they’re good and you should check ’em out now.
Special thanks to Topo from No List Records for digging up this gem in his weekly spelunk through the depths of bandcamp.
