I believe that hardcore music, to some extent, has a finite number of possibilities. That is part of the beauty of it. There is a structure for the struggle and a method to the madness.
Get the Shot understands that formula, and twists it enough to be floor punch worthy. They turn the amps up to ten and spit palm muted power in a venomous fury that made everyone in the room at Petit Campus break their necks in time with the beat.
Since i had a 70% in grade 7 french, I can not relay the messages of inspiration that were passed forward between songs. However, I do know that the dance floor was filled with flipped hat peak fury charged by Get the Shot’s vocalist and the big break downs that they brought to the club. He upped the ante, demonstrating the spins, kicks and punches that wanted to see on the dance floor. At one point he climbed the side bar and surfed the crowd while the band chugged on.
Good show.
