Resurrected from the archives, members of Pinkish Black are set to release a 5 year old recording under the name The Great Tyrant . Entitled The Trouble with Being Born. The album was recorded in 2010, but the release was put on hold after the unfortunate passing of their former bassist Tommy Atkins.
In an interview given to Invisible Oranges the band discussed why they have chosen to release the record now.
“We’ve both been in other bands that recorded albums that never came out. We didn’t want this album to be another one like that. Additionally, I felt as though part of our musical story was missing without that record. We never wanted to stop playing these songs, but we had to.” – Daron
The nine track album brings a colossal, morphing sound, sure to please all you greasy fuzz heads. Give it a listen – and if you like it – you can pick it up on Relapse Records on October 30th.
